Warranty
After-sales service:
Retailers provide the first level of after-sales service to their customers. Customers should contact the retailer from whom they purchased the Fenix product for warranty assistance, presenting a receipt or sales slip.
Otto Klein SA is responsible for the second level of after-sales service and the legal warranty for Fenix products for the Swiss market only. Consumables and parallel imports are excluded.
Defects covered by the warranty will be handled according to the conditions listed below.
Where possible, repairs not covered by the warranty will be subject to a quote for prior approval. Shipping costs are not included in the handling of after-sales service and warranty cases and are the responsibility of the retailer.
Warranty conditions:
- Fenix lamps without batteries: 2 years (24 months) legal warranty from the date of purchase.
- Manufacturer’s extended warranty – Fenixlight Ltd – to 5 years of free repairs covering manufacturing or operational defects when used in accordance with the instructions.
- Fenix lamps with integrated batteries: 2 years (24 months) from the date of purchase.
Defects occurring within 15 days of the date of purchase for all Fenix products:
Otto Klein SA will replace the product with a new one within 15 days of purchase for any manufacturing or operational defects related to normal use. The item must be returned in new condition and in its original packaging.
The defective item will be replaced with the same item. If the model is not or no longer available, a similar item or an improved version will be offered as a replacement.
The warranty does not cover damage or malfunction caused by:
- Normal wear and tear
- Improper use
- Damage caused directly or indirectly by the user
- Battery leaks
- Defects or damage caused by incorrect use, including, but not limited to, any use that does not comply with the instructions for use and information contained in the product manual.
- Disassembly of any sealed or factory-assembled part of a Fenix product
The provisions of Swiss warranty law apply (Art. 210 and 371 CO).
